First prize in the national “Reacciona!” competition for our chemistry students

Congratulations to our Year 13 Chemistry students, Sofía, Rocío and Blanca, who won the first prize in the “Reacciona!” competition organised by the Museu de les Arts i les Ciències (CAC) de Valencia.

They won the competition, which had a hundred groups from all over Spain participating, after presenting their project to the jury at the Arts and Sciences museum in Valencia on Friday 5th May. The jury (including former head of Valencia University Francisco Tomás and, amongst others, the regional heads of the Spanish Chemical Society), students, teachers and audience were all truly impressed with their project, which addresses the chemical problem of ion identification using precipitation methods from an educational and sustainable perspective.
