This week, our Year 11 students have had the pleasure of welcoming a group of German students to English School Los Olivos for a very special exchange experience.
From the moment they arrived in Valencia, our students and their German partners have shared a week full of activities, new experiences and plenty of opportunities to get to know one another. More than simply visiting a new country, the exchange has given them the chance to spend time together, practise languages, discover different cultures and build new friendships.
One of the highlights of the week was a trip to Chulilla, where the group enjoyed the spectacular natural surroundings and its famous hanging bridges.
They also spent a wonderful day at La Albufera, discovering one of Valencia’s most characteristic landscapes. The visit included a traditional boat trip across the lagoon as well as a range of creative and cultural activities, giving our German guests another taste of local traditions and Valencian life.
Throughout the week, our Year 11 students have had the opportunity to act as hosts and share their school, city and culture with their German partners. Experiences like this take learning beyond the classroom and encourage independence, communication and an openness to other cultures.
It has been a fantastic week together, and we hope our German guests return home with many happy memories of their time in Valencia and at English School Los Olivos.
Danke – thanks for visiting us – we hope to see you again soon! 💚
