During this term our students are participating in two fund raising activities. On the one hand, the students in the Student Council in the secondary school have decided to support the NGO “KIND SURF” with several activities; one of them has been to organise a “Bake Sale”, in which they raised almost 300 E. “KIND SURF” is a social and environmental NGO, which uses surfing and environmental education to help disadvantaged young people.
Our students are also preparing to take part in the “Race against Hunger”. This is organised by the NGO “Action against Hunger”, and our school has been taking part now for several years. In the coming weeks the students will receive talks, given by visiting members of this NGO . This is a chance for them to learn more about the work of the NGO and to help them understand the problem that exists and how the money they raise will be spent.
We would like to thank our students for their interest and work and to encourage them to continue with their fund raising activities for humanitarian causes.
