Cross-Age Educational Collaborations at English School Los Olivos

At English School Los Olivos, our Cross-Age Group Collaborations Policy plays a central role in strengthening a cohesive, respectful and supportive learning community. By intentionally creating meaningful interactions between Primary and Secondary students, we aim to foster leadership, empathy and a shared sense of purpose across all stages of the school.

This week, our Year 9 students led an assembly for Year 5 and Year 6, presenting thoughtful reflections on the olive tree as a symbol of peace, unity and resilience. Their work demonstrated maturity, collaboration and a deep understanding of the values that guide our educational project.

The younger students engaged with genuine interest and curiosity, highlighting the positive impact that peer-led initiatives can have on motivation and learning.

These cross-age experiences are an essential pillar of our mission to Learn, Grow and Care Together, ensuring that every student—regardless of age—develops the confidence and character needed to contribute meaningfully to our community and to society.
