During the first week of October our school has participated in a cultural exchange with a UNESCO accredited school in Finland.
This exchange is part of a multilingualism project and aims to promote cultural and linguistic diversity in Europe, recognise the diverse language skills of the students and offer them the opportunity to collaborate in an international team. We have been visited by pupils from Kaitaan Upper Secondary School in Finland, who have been staying with the Year 12 pupils who are participating in the exchange. Our Finnish colleagues and students have organised language workshops for our Primary students and have also attended some classes given by our teachers. In addition, we have organised for all participants cultural visits to the centre of Valencia to visit the most emblematic buildings of the city of Valencia and to enjoy some events related to the celebration of the Valencian autonomous region’s day “9 d’octubre”.
In February, it will be our students’ turn to travel to Finland and continue with the other half of the project. We will keep you posted!
At school, we are very happy to be part of this project and we value this experience very positively. We would like to thank all the participants and organisers.
