This past weekend — November 21st –23rd — our students proudly represented English School Los Olivos at the ASV MUN 2025 Conference, hosted by the American School of Valencia.
The event opened with a powerful reminder from the keynote speaker:
Young people are never too young to contribute to global peace.
Under the theme “Divided World: Addressing Conflict to Achieve Peace, students engaged in high-level debates, negotiated resolutions, and worked collaboratively to address complex international issues.
One of the highlights of the conference was an unexpected crisis scenario during the General Assembly: a surprise simulation in which “Trump had invaded Venezuela.”
Delegates had to react with speed, clarity, and diplomacy — demonstrating impressive critical thinking and adaptability.
The conference was entirely student-led, coordinated by motivated 17-year-olds who chaired committees, organised logistics, and ensured a professional and dynamic atmosphere throughout the weekend.
We are extremely proud of our students’ maturity, teamwork, and commitment. Experiences like these allow young people to grow as global citizens and future leaders.
