After two years without being able to do so, finally on Friday 27th May, we were able to celebrate our Fund-raising School Fair.
At the end of the school day, just after 4.30pm, our fund-raising Fair for the Red Cross, got under way in the playground and under the pine trees of our secondary school. The fair is a real tradition in the school, a special date in the calendar and it was clear from everybody’s enthusiasm that they had missed it. Students, parents and teachers took part, and we were also delighted to see the many former students who came by as well as parents of some of our future students.
There were many fun activities, handicrafts and games for the students as well as stalls selling books, food and drink, a barbeque and a fantastic raffle.
The fair was very well attended and continued until 8.30pm. Everyone enjoyed the chance to take part and to spend time chatting together on a pleasant spring evening. Above all though the fair is important as it raises funds for a cause. This year we were supporting the Red Cross who had visited school during the week to explain to the students their work and how the students, through the fair, could help.
We would like to thank all the parents, students and staff for all your help, effort and generous contributions.
