The first term has ended and, as is to be expected, we have celebrated with some special Christmas events.
Although we have not been able to hold our traditional festivals this year, each class has had fun preparing and recording a Christmas video which they have then shared with their families.
Also, over the last week of term, we collected warm clothes and blankets for the homeless to support a campaign by the Godella scout group, to which some of our pupils belong. In addition, we held a Christmas Jumper Day which helped to create a lovely festive atmosphere, and also raised money for Save the Children, as everyone donated one euro per jumper. There was a fantastic response, and we would like to thank all parents and pupils for their support in these activities.
We also held our special assemblies with the different classes and at the end of each one the secondary students enjoyed a special breakfast with hot chocolate. But, without doubt, the most special moment came with the magical and fleeting appearance of Father Christmas, who found time in his busy schedule to make his annual visit to our Primary school. He greeted all the pupils from the rooftop while his helpers left surprise presents for the children in their respective classrooms.
We have all enjoyed these activities and wish everyone a restful and enjoyable Christmas.
