Today our Y12&Y13 students took part in an inspiring workshop led by Manuel Martínez Toran from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). This hands-on experience offered them a first-hand introduction to the world of Industrial Design.
🔹 The first part consisted of an introductory talk, including the lecturer’s personal presentation, an overview of the UPV, and an explanation of the Industrial Design degree, answering questions and outlining academic and professional pathways.
🔹 The second block 👉 The Circles Challenge: a creative exercise focused on observation, quick thinking and idea generation from a shared starting point. Students worked on finding real spatial solutions for the near future of our secondary school.
🔹 The third part ✏️ Sketching Group: a collaborative sketching activity in which students experienced how visual ideas are developed, proposals are discarded, and designs are improved through discussion and shared reflection.
A highly dynamic, participative and enriching session that allowed our students to think like designers, experience a real creative process and gain insight into a possible future academic pathway.
Thank you to UPV for bringing the university experience into the classroom and for inspiring our students to continue exploring their creative talent 💡🎨
