Our Nursery and Reception children had a fantastic time celebrating Water Day, a special event designed to combine learning, exploration and plenty of summer fun.
Throughout the day, the children took part in a variety of exciting water-based activities. They explored sensory water trays, experimented with floating and sinking objects, played with boats and sea creatures, practised pouring and transferring water, and enjoyed creative activities that encouraged curiosity and problem-solving through play.
One of the highlights of the day was undoubtedly the bubble stations, where the playground was filled with hundreds of bubbles and even more smiles. The children loved chasing, catching and watching the bubbles float through the air, creating magical moments shared with friends and teachers alike.
Water Day also provided valuable opportunities for children to develop their fine motor skills, teamwork, communication and confidence while learning through hands-on experiences. The combination of structured activities and free exploration allowed every child to participate at their own pace and enjoy the day in their own way.
A huge thank you to our wonderful staff for organising such a memorable experience and helping to create a day full of laughter, discovery and happy memories.
At English School Los Olivos, we believe that some of the most meaningful learning happens when children are engaged, active and having fun.
