Tuesday 14th March was a very special day as, after several years without being able to do so, we could all enjoy together our English School Los Olivos Fallas celebration once again.
First thing in the morning we gathered together in the secondary playground all the different fallas models which the classes had made over the previous weeks and joined them together to make our school falla. All the classes took turns to visit the falla and enjoyed seeing the different scenes.
After lunch the students got dressed for the occasion in their traditional costumes and went to the primary playground, where parents and friends were waiting to see them dance. Everyone then went to secondary to enjoy some time together, to look at the falla, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and, to end the afternoon, watch the falla burn.
We would like to thank all the parents and other family members, as well as the many ex-students who didn’t want to miss the celebration, for joining us and especially the students and teachers for making the falla and for dancing so well. Our congratulations and thanks to everyone!
