Last Thursday, 20th May, our students enthusiastically participated in the Race Against Hunger.
Throughout the day our students put on their sports gear and, full of enthusiasm and energy, ran the different circuits which had been prepared for them. Our Primary pupils did it in their “bubbles” whilst the Secondary pupils kept the stipulated distance. The aim was to use sport and the effort put into the race as a symbol of the fight against hunger in the world, an initiative carried out by the NGO “Action Against Hunger”, with whom we have been working for several years. In the previous days, the students had worked with their teachers on a material prepared by the NGO in which, among other things, it was explained to them the use that will be made of the funds that they, with their efforts, were going to raise for the children who suffer from hunger in the world.
Parents, family, friends and teachers have sponsored the students with small donations for each lap or kilometre they have run (depending on the age of the students).
We would like to thank and congratulate all the students who have participated with so much enthusiasm and effort, as well as all those who have sponsored the students.
