Last Friday 17th May we celebrated our annual Fund-raising Summer Fair, this year in aid of the NGO World Central Kitchen.
The fair is a real tradition in the school and a special date in the calendar which everyone looks forward to. Students, parents and teachers all took part, and we were also delighted to see so many of our former students coming to the fair.
The fair took place in the playground and under the pine trees in our secondary school. There were many fun activities, handicrafts and games for the students as well as stalls selling books, food and drink, a barbeque and an exciting raffle. There was also fantastic live music from the group Carpinxo’s Band.
The Fair was very well attended and lasted until after 8.30pm in the evening. Everyone enjoyed spending some time together in a cheerful and relaxed springtime atmosphere. And most importantly, we did it for a good cause, raising funds to help World Central Kitchen who had already held video conferences with groups of our students the previous week to explain their work and how their participation in the Fair could contribute to support their projects.
