31st January was Tree Day in the Comunidad Valenciana. To commemorate the day, English School Los Olivos wanted to do its bit by planting some trees together with our neighbours, Xicotets Nursery School.
Our school council representatives, representing all the Primary pupils, went to Xicotets to help the little children with the gardening work. They cooperated in planting small specimens of lemon trees and aromatic plants. We also took and planted an olive tree, as a symbol of collaboration between both schools and we hope that it will witness the passing of many generations.
Both our pupils and the children from Xicotets really enjoyed the activity and they found it hard to say goodbye to each other at the end!
We would like to thank Xicotets for their hospitality and hope to work together again soon.
