Today, English School Los Olivos was filled with colour, creativity and a real love for reading as we celebrated World Book Day across the whole school.
Our pupils came dressed as their favourite storybook characters, bringing books to life and creating a wonderfully vibrant atmosphere throughout the day. From classic tales to modern favourites, the school was full of imagination and enthusiasm.
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity for older pupils to share stories with younger children. Students from Year 8 spent time reading with Year 2, while Year 6 pupils visited Year 1 classrooms. These moments of shared reading created a warm and supportive environment, helping to build confidence, encourage a love for books and strengthen the sense of community across the school.
In addition, we held a whole-school assembly to mark the occasion, reflecting on the importance of reading and the powerful role that books play in our learning and personal development.
World Book Day at Los Olivos is always a special event, and this year was no exception — a joyful celebration of storytelling, creativity and learning together.
