During their Biology lesson, our Year 12 students had the opportunity to explore one of the most fascinating organs in the human body — the heart.
Guided by their teacher Anna, the students carried out a hands-on dissection that allowed them to identify and examine the main parts of the organ, including its chambers, valves and blood vessels. This practical experience gave them a deeper understanding of the cardiovascular system and helped them to connect theoretical knowledge with real-life anatomy.
At English School Los Olivos, we believe that learning by doing encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine interest in Science. These laboratory sessions are an essential part of our British curriculum, preparing students for future studies in medicine, health sciences, and related fields.
A memorable experience that brought science to life!
