Today, our Year 8 pupils visited La Bastida de les Alcusses in Moixent as part of their study of Iberian culture in class. Throughout the visit, students had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of this fascinating civilisation by exploring one of the most important Iberian archaeological sites in the Valencian Community.
During the day, pupils learned about how the Iberians lived, worked and organised their settlements many centuries ago. They visited reconstructed spaces, listened to expert explanations and took part in practical activities linked to Iberian craftsmanship and daily life.
One of the highlights of the visit was the jewellery workshop, where students experimented with traditional techniques and tools inspired by those used in Iberian times. The experience allowed them to connect classroom learning with hands-on historical activities in a very engaging way.
Surrounded by nature and impressive archaeological remains, the trip provided a wonderful opportunity for students to experience history beyond the classroom while continuing to develop their curiosity and appreciation for ancient cultures.
