As part of our ongoing commitment to academic and careers guidance, our Year 11 students recently attended a university orientation event at the Universidad Católica de Valencia (UCV).
The visit was designed to encourage students to reflect on their future academic and professional pathways at a key stage of their education. Upon arrival, students were divided into two main routes — Humanities and Sciences — according to the areas they currently feel most inclined to pursue.
Throughout the session, students were introduced to different university degrees and career options, helping them understand how subject choices made at this stage can influence future opportunities. The event provided valuable guidance on how specific subjects relate to particular academic itineraries and professions.
This experience is especially timely, as students will soon be required to choose their A Level subjects following their mock examinations. Visits like this support them in making informed, thoughtful decisions as they plan the next steps of their educational journey.
At English School Los Olivos, we place great importance on preparing our students not only academically, but also by equipping them with the tools and knowledge they need to make confident decisions about their future.
