Our Year 4 pupils enjoyed a very interesting and hands-on visit to the Los Hornillos waste treatment plant in Quart de Poblet.
The day began with an introduction to how waste is managed and the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling in our daily lives. The pupils listened attentively and showed great curiosity, asking thoughtful questions throughout the session.
During the visit, they explored the facilities and took part in practical activities, including sorting different types of materials and learning how waste is processed. One of the highlights of the day was working outdoors with natural materials, helping them to better understand how organic matter breaks down.
This visit provided a valuable opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences, encouraging environmental awareness and responsibility.
A very engaging and enriching experience for all! 🌿♻️
