Our Year 4 pupils recently enjoyed an inspiring and educational visit to the Science Museum, where learning truly came to life beyond the classroom walls.
Throughout the visit, the children explored a wide range of interactive exhibitions designed to stimulate curiosity and scientific thinking. They discovered how light and colour influence the way we perceive the world, experimented with sound and voice through hands-on installations, and engaged with immersive spaces that encouraged observation, questioning and reflection.
A particularly exciting moment of the day was the laboratory demonstration, where science was presented in a dynamic and visually engaging way. The experience sparked genuine enthusiasm, thoughtful questions and meaningful discussion among the pupils.
This visit provided a valuable opportunity to reinforce classroom learning through direct experience. By interacting with real scientific environments and experiments, pupils were able to connect theory with practice in a memorable and motivating way.
At English School Los Olivos, we strongly believe in the importance of experiential learning. Visits such as this one help nurture curiosity, critical thinking and a lifelong interest in science.
