Last week, our Year 5 pupils enjoyed a fantastic educational trip to Puntal dels Llops in Olocau as part of their Conocimiento del Medio topic on the Iberians.
During the visit, the children explored the remains of an ancient Iberian settlement located in the heart of the Sierra Calderona. Guided through the archaeological site, they learned about how Iberian communities lived, organised themselves and defended their territory many centuries ago. The pupils were especially interested in discovering the different parts of the settlement and imagining what daily life would have been like at that time.
Surrounded by nature and impressive panoramic views, the experience provided a wonderful opportunity to connect classroom learning with real historical heritage.
The group also stopped at the historic Casa de la Señoría in Olocau, where they learned more about the history of the area and its cultural heritage.
It was a highly enriching day full of history, culture and discovery, and our pupils represented the school brilliantly throughout the trip.
We would like to thank the guides and staff involved in making this memorable learning experience possible for our Year 5 pupils.
