Our Year 5 pupils enjoyed a wonderful educational trip to Carcaixent, where they took part in the well-known “Orange Route”, a unique opportunity to explore one of the most important agricultural traditions in the Valencian Community.
Throughout the day, the pupils walked through beautiful orange groves, learning about the cultivation, harvesting and selection of oranges. They were able to see first-hand how the fruit is processed and prepared before reaching our homes, gaining a deeper understanding of the journey from tree to table.
One of the highlights of the visit was the chance to pick and taste fresh oranges directly from the trees, making the experience both engaging and memorable.
In addition to the educational aspect, the trip also encouraged curiosity, teamwork and an appreciation for the natural environment. Surrounded by stunning landscapes, the pupils enjoyed a day of outdoor learning that brought their classroom studies to life.
It was a fantastic experience for everyone involved and a great example of learning beyond the classroom.
