On Thursday 5th February, our Year 5 pupils took part in an educational visit to the Tous Dam, linking directly to the rivers topic they have been studying in class.
The visit was organised by the Confederación Hidrográfica del Júcar, whose team guided the students around the facilities and explained how dams and reservoirs work, how water resources are managed and why rivers play such a vital role in our environment.
Throughout the visit, pupils were able to see first-hand many of the concepts previously covered in the classroom, helping to consolidate their learning through a real-life experience. The visit also encouraged reflection on sustainability, responsible water use and environmental protection.
Educational trips like this play an essential role in connecting classroom learning with the real world, promoting active and meaningful learning experiences.
